NIBC successfully completes sale of equity investment activities to Pontex Investment Partners

NIBC is pleased to announce the successful completion of the transaction to sell its minority equity investment activities to funds managed by Pontex Investment Partners. Pontex, founded by the former investment team of NIBC, will henceforth operate independently with CommonWealth Investments (CWI) as cornerstone investor. Completing this transaction marks a substantial milestone in the realisation of NIBC’s strategic repositioning as an entrepreneurial asset financier, which was initiated in November 2021.

The transaction comprises a portfolio of 13 minority investments in Dutch companies operating in various industrial sectors, now under management of the highly experienced Pontex team. In addition to acquiring the existing portfolio, the Pontex managed funds will gain access to fresh capital to support current portfolio companies and make new investments, thereby ensuring continuity of the strategy that facilitates the growth ambitions of Dutch entrepreneurs by providing minority equity.
